The Major Gift Officer for the Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts (CPCA) [Boyer College of Music & Dance and the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts], reporting to the Assistant Dean for the College, is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donor prospects ($50,000+) to the college. The Major Gift Officer will secure funds for CPCA by managing a portfolio of assigned donors, representing CPCA and Temple University at large, and establishing connections between donor's philanthropic interests and the priorities of the College of Liberal Arts and Temple. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required. 5-7 years related experience, previous experience in account management and business to business sales. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously *Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and work with high wealth individuals *Proven ability to raise and close five- and six-figure gifts. *Entrepreneurial skills in identifying donors and relationships. Preferred: *Experience in higher education
