Nature of Work
This individual will be responsible for the administrative coordinating of negotiation and maintenance of clinical placements with contracted clinical agencies for undergraduate nursing students. Major duties and responsibilities are: 1) Initiate and follow-up with clinical agencies for undergraduate nursing student clinical placements each semester; 2) Initiate and maintain ongoing contact with clinical agencies for preceptor placements via telephone, fax voicemail, email, and written correspondence; 3) Collect and maintain preceptor qualification forms; 4) Verify all preceptor RN license numbers are active; 5) Serve as liaison to the healthcare community explicating the role of the BSN student, evaluating appropriateness of clinical sites prior to student placement, and coordinating periodic campus meetings for clinical agency representatives/faculty/students; 6) Prepare clinical rotation schedule each semester in conjunction with Director-Undergraduate Program and course faculty; 7) Coordinate all clinical placements for students in conjunction with course faculty each year; 8) Coordinate the collection of evaluations of clinical agencies by faculty/student/agency members; 9) Assist graduate program associate in matters related to graduate student placement as needed.
A bachelor’s degree in nursing and two years of full-time experience in clinical practice are required; demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, management and organizational skills. Candidates must be proficient in a Windows based computer environment, Microsoft office suite and have knowledge of health care-related technology. Current RN license in Georgia (or eligible) required.
MSN Degree and Part-time clinical instruction experience and/or full-time nursing faculty experience.
minimum $48,191 - midpoint $65,668
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Travel to clinical sites required. Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. Desk work and phone work required.
