Bridgewater College is seeking a dynamic individual for full-time Admissions Counselor position beginning July 2017.

Responsibilities:  Administers the student admissions process, while focusing on the successful recruitment and enrollment of a diverse student population. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting prospective student and family interviews, evaluating student applications for admissions decisions, building relationships with prospective students, high school counselors, and alumni and friends of the college through a variety of communication avenues, etc. The admission counselors represents Bridgewater College professionally, both on and off campus.

This position requires frequent weekend work, as well as extended travel, to include overnight recruitment trips both in and out of state. The primary recruiting season takes place in the fall and requires consecutive weeks of travel. Travel during the spring and summer is required but is less frequent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year institution.
  • Ability to convey the value of a liberal arts education through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of presenting to diverse audiences in a variety of venues.
  • Manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and social media; experience with CRM  software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

General Information: Bridgewater offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in more than 60 majors and minors, along with multiple areas of emphasis and concentrations, pre-professional programs such as medicine and law, dual degree programs and teacher certification. The college is a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, with 22 intercollegiate athletic teams.
