Sr. SAP Specialist (Sales & Distribution)
We are hiring a Sr. SAP Specialist (Sales & Distribution) for a Full Time position in Buena Park, CA
Sr. SAP Specialist (Sales & Distribution) Applies extensive technical expertise to a variety of SAP applications (sales & distribution and production planning) and modules (variant configuration and Vistex). Responsible for design validation, configuration, implementation, and functional/technical support and maintenance. Works closely with process teams to facilitate project progress and ensure integrated system solutions. Functions as key member of project teams throughout full project lifecycle (blueprinting, realization, final prep, go-live, and support) including the operate phase. Performs as the MIS-SAP subject matter expert (SME) and provides expertise and support for all aspects of core SAP applications and modules and processes for all business units. Acts as the MIS-SAP module expert and liaison amongst stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements and solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Works in concert with other business partners and SMEs to plan, design, participate, and implement in the development, testing, fielding, and customer support of the program. Works closely with stakeholders to provide implementation, post implementation and operation guidance, training, and support for SAP deployment as well as works collaboratively with MIS, business management, and implementation partners. Provides guidance on best practices/processes and translates business requirements into detailed SAP design solution and functional specifications. Translates business needs to requirements. Prioritizes needs, designs process flows, and secures written approvals. Defines engagement success criteria, tracks and monitors progress, and ensures deliverables are met. Ensures appropriate data gets to/from non-SAP systems for all processes and functional integration requirements. Coordinates with SAP technical development team to customize SAP as required and coordinates unit, system, and regression testing with end users. Troubleshoots and resolves process issues. Leads meetings and facilities design sessions, issue resolution, and development workshops. Develops and conducts SAP training and knowledge transfer to business client Requires a Bachelors degree, preferably in related technical field, or equivalent directly related work experience and a minimum seven years hands-on experience configuring and supporting current SAP versions including demonstrable experience in executing implementations and at least three full project lifecycles. Previous role in sales with a large scale automotive/manufacturing/engineering organization or as SAP consultant for IT services consulting company. Certified in SAP materials management configuration and deployment, membership in recognized professional sales & marketing, manufacturing, or supply chain body are preferred. Expert knowledge of one or more of SAP applications and module data and organization structures (Financial Accounting and Controlling, FICO, Supply Chain Management, SCM, Material Management, MM, Sales and Distribution, SD, Logistics Execution, LE, Production Planning, PP, Quality Management, QM, Process Integration, Process Orchestration, PI PO), knowledge of integration between SAP applications and modules with other mainstream SAP modules; familiarity with Vistex, OpenText and or RevTrac tools is a plus. Knowledge of documentation standards and SOX adherence, working knowledge of EDI and IDOCs, strong PC skills in Windows applications; high IT literacy. Excellent verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills, advanced SAP application and module configuration and implementation skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to be detail and accuracy oriented, ability to be a strong team player as well as work independently, prioritization and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. Position requires light travel, approximately 10-15% time including overnight stays.
