Transition Manager Occupational Summary:

Provide coordination and oversight of all activities related to the successfully Go Live of Duke Health Facilities projects.

Work Performed:
  • Responsible for the coordination of all related activities required to successfully activate and occupy Duke Health Facilities projects. Provide FET (furniture, equipment, technology) coordination and oversight as needed.
  • Works closely with Client and PM to coordinate all activities for the transition planning efforts.
  • Coordinates with procurement as necessary to assist Client and PM with activities above.
  • Coordinates with Facilities Services, Finance, EVS, Materials Management, DHTS, E&O, OIT, parking, and all other internal support service departments as necessary to activate and occupy the new space.
  • Prepares and maintains an action log to ensure all items are completed within the approved activation schedule.
  • Coordinates with Security and AV Design Build Vendors to ensure these systems are appropriately designed and deployed within the approved activation schedule.
  • Prepare status reports for FPDC management on a monthly basis setting forth progress. Advise supervisor in a timely manner when issues arise that need management support.
  • Coordinate with users the training and education regarding the safe and efficient use of the building and it's equipment.

Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to deal with multiple simultaneous tasks. Proven ability to direct others under a matrix relationship. Ability to work with all levels of the organization including Senior Management. Proficient in excel, word, powerpoint, and experience in SAP. Understanding of medical terminology and equipment.

Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study.

Experience
