Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of duties to assist investigators in the collection, verification and compilation of research information.

Work Performed

Responsibilities:
  • collect and filter (publicly available) whole-genome somatic mutation data from the TCGA and ICGC consortia
  • generate synthetic mutations for tumor samples, using existing code developed in the Gordan lab
  • optimize code for generating synthetic mutations
  • implement and help develop new methods for generating synthetic mutations
  • evaluate new methods for generating synthetic mutations, using the statistical approach previously developed in the lab
  • assist students and postdocs in the lab with processing analyses of synthetic mutation data
  • assist with manuscript preparation
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
