ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR OUTREACH
Duties: In conjunction with the faculty leadership, the Associate Director for Outreach is charged with developing and cultivating strategic external relationships that will help the Mack Institute for Innovation Management strengthen its role as a leading business research institute inside the School/University and within the broader innovation and strategy community.
S(he) will create new and novel ways of identifying and engaging corporate constituencies in order to maintain and expand the Institute's roster of corporate donor companies, and will cultivate relationships with Wharton/Penn alumni with the broader goal of building a pipeline of future corporate prospects. The Associate Director will plan and implement relevant corporate outreach activities such as research conferences and workshops, including using them as a resource for recruitment. He/she will occasionally need to coordinate efforts with the Institute's Associate Director for Engagement to bridge the transition from prospective partners to actively-engaged stakeholders.
Up to 35% travel and occasional evenings and/or weekends required.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred. The right candidate must be able to work in a collegial fashion as part of a self-motivated and talented team. Strategic future-oriented thinking, strong networking/people skills, and a proven fundraising track record are a must. Demonstrates strong leadership skills to influence and collaborate with groups of varying interests to ultimately achieve strategic results.
