Child Development Teacher Assistant
Placement Range: $12.90 - $14.20
General Description: Assists the Child Development Teacher in a variety of tasks, including physically keeping the Center in order throughout the day, collaborating on class learning projects and working directly with the children. An employee in this position has a high risk for occupational exposure to human blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of the performance of the employee's duties.
Minimum Education/Experience: Associate degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or early childhood special education. OR Successful completion of at least 24 college credit hours in child development, early childhood education, elementary education or early childhood special education. Attention Applicants: You are required to attach a copy of your transcript conferring the required degree OR the required college credit hours. AND Two (2) years of experience working in a child care setting; family home care, center care or college practicum and observation experiences.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated human relation skills that result in positive and effective communications with staff, children and the public. Ability to pass a background verification with no convictions in accordance with the Oklahoma Child Care Facilities Licensing Act Ability to produce evidence of absence of tuberculosis.
