Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia's College at Wise, a four year, public liberal arts college in southwest Virginia, invites applications for the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position reports to the Athletic Director and oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations, layout, supervision and safety of the strength and conditioning facility. Additional responsibilities include: program planning; fiscal and personnel management; maintaining close communication with coaches and athletic trainers; event management at assigned events; supervision of work-study and volunteers; and the possibility of teaching 6 hours/year in an academic discipline based on need. The successful candidate will be involved in additional duties as assigned by the director of athletics.

A bachelor's degree is required and a masters degree is preferred. Successful collegiate level experience strength and conditioning is required. Compensation for this position includes a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package.

Proven ability to design and implement strength and conditioning programs; thorough understanding of the scientific principles related to strength and conditioning; the ability to work with both male and female student athletes; the ability to work with multiple sports.
