The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging Division at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates to fill multiple Clinical Instructor positions to begin July 1, 2019. This one-year post-graduate training fellowship program focuses on all aspects of Musculoskeletal imaging. The fellowship includes significant diagnostic experience with MRI, CT, US, and radiographs. Fellows receive training in a wide variety of image-guided procedures performed with fluoroscopy, CT fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. It is expected that each fellow participate in at least one research project during the year.
In addition to the clinical fellowship positions, one position will be a hybrid of MSK/Informatics. The hybrid fellow will divide time between clinical MSK work and clinical informatics experience and research. Candidates for the hybrid position should at least be entertaining the idea of an academic career (though not required) and have an aptitude (though not necessarily experience) in engineering or information technology/systems.
Clinical responsibilities for both of the above types of positions include supervised and graduated levels of unsupervised clinical work, teaching of residents, and research.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and have successfully completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at an ACGME accredited institution or successfully completed a diagnostic radiology residency accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
