Posting Summary:
The Center for Comparative Medicine is looking for a Cagewash Attendant. This position is responsible for the operation and general maintenance of a high temperature cage washer/sterilizer, loading/unloading of animal caging, monitoring sanitation cycles and daily cleaning and quality control of equipment. Incumbent must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and be comfortable working with lab animals, specifically rodents. Incumbent will be expected to work a rotating schedule which includes a combination of weekday, weekend and holiday coverage.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be comfortable working in an animal research facility and the handling of animals, predominately rodents.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must have clear communication skills.
Must have the ability to move, push and pull heavy caging racks and 50 pound feed bags.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
