About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: The Manager of Scholarly Activities supports the endeavors associated with the: 1) longitudinal Scholarship and Discovery thread of the Pritzker curriculum; 2) 10-week Summer Research Program; 3) national Scholarly Concentrations Collaborative; 4) the Senior Scientific Session and Senior Research Fellowships; 5) other scholarly opportunities; 6) global health experiences. The Manager of Scholarly Activities reports directly to the Director of Medical School Education and supports both the faculty Assistant Dean for Scholarship and Discovery and the faculty Co-Director of Scholarship and Discovery. The Manager of Scholarly Activities must work with the Scholarship and Discovery team, as well as other faculty, staff, and students in the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education to successfully meet the requirements listed below.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Unit Experience: Three years of program and/or project management experience required. Strong interest or knowledge of academic research and medical education preferred. Knowledge of data analysis required.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Strong administrative and communication skills required. Ability to prioritize, work on multiple projects simultaneously and complete assignments in a timely manner required. Effective interpersonal skills needed for interacting with students, faculty members and Pritzker School of Medicine staff. It is an expectation that the successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other common software programs. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills required.
