Job Description: This position reports to the Director for Employment and Clinical Support Services and functions as a professional resource for policy interpretation and administration relevant to the employment and compensation process within Human Resources. The position is also responsible for the administration of recruitment and selection procedures for all staff Subject to State Human Resources Act (SHRA), Clinical Support Services (CSS), and temporary positions within the University, including screening of applicant pools to ensure that applicants meet minimum training/education requirements in accordance with university and State policy; evaluation of employment offers to determine qualifying salary for selected candidates based on the Career Banding Pay Factors (FAIR) and CSS Broad Banding Policy; extend job offers to the candidate of choice; negotiating salary with the hiring department when appropriate; and provide documentation after hiring process is complete to show compliance with University and State policies. The independent decision-making, analysis, judgment, daily problem solving, recruitment, and consultation with both internal and external constituents create a highly complex and fast paced work environment. The selected candidate will conduct one-on-one and group training sessions related to recruitment and selection policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations. Salary Grade Equivalent: 72 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
