Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred in related field (e.g. Social Work, Public Health, Human Ecology). Specialization in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental health recovery preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
- Up to two years working in the field of human services
- Experience working with people affected by substance use disorders and in recovery
- Experience working with community-based organizations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with WordPress, social media preferred
This grant-funded position acts as the designated liaison between the Advisory Council, Director, and recovery community membership and engages in capacity building and outreach efforts for this project. The Associate Outreach Specialist will engage diverse communities and be involved in outreach activities like event planning and conducting trainings.
Wisconsin Voices for Recovery is a grant-funded project that works to eliminate the stigma around addiction and recovery, build the capacity of recovery organizations and services, and make a difference in Wisconsin communities. This position may be renewable depending on future grant funding.
