Job Summary:

Working independently and under general supervision of the Department Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for providing machine shop services-including design consultation and expert machining-to faculty, staff and graduate students. (The latter personnel are primarily part of the Medical Physics Department, but include many from the rest of the School of Medicine and Public Health as well as the School of Engineering.) The incumbent will design and fabricate unique instrumentation to support research and instruction projects in research laboratories, often working in close contact with researchers. The incumbent maintains machine shop equipment and manages students working in the Medical Physics machine shop and orders materials used in fabrication.



Schedule Comment:

Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:30pm. Exact schedule will be determined at time of hire.
