Will serve as Student Services Program Coordinator for the Integrated Biomedical Science Graduate Program, USC School of Medicine. Will coordinate and organize the admissions of graduate students across the USC campus and for the masters level graduate programs in the Certificate Program, Nurse Anesthesia, Genetic Counseling, and Rehabilitation Counseling programs for the USC School of Medicine. Must demonstrate commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
Set up database of all program applications; liaise with administrators of the component graduate programs across campus with regard to admission procedures, interviews, etc.; organize interviews of potential applicants; coordinate faculty evaluations of interviewees; liaise with USC Registrar, Graduate School and International Student
Office regarding student visas.
Coordinate and oversee routine updates of program websites. Perform graduation checks and complete required graduation paperwork. Advise and counsel student applicants during the
admission process. Interpret admission policies and
requirements of the graduate program.
Establish and maintain electronic tracking system of student records, progress and grades, ensuring confidentiality of student records and reports. Set up and manage alumni database. Liaise with alumni.
Coordinate and organize student awards and recognition ceremonies. Direct and coordinate all student recruitment visits, summer and short-term research initiatives, and structured research day events. Assist with organizing graduates for USC graduation ceremony.
Register and advise students. Create and maintain master schedule of graduate courses and coordinate classroom scheduling. Coordinate new student orientation and prepare and distribute newsletters to graduate students.
Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.
Previous experience in the area of graduate student services preferred.
