The Instructional Coordinator in the School of Liberal Arts provides instructional and administrative support to the Dean of Liberal Arts, department chairs and coordinators (and their designees) on matters pertaining to faculty and instruction, course offerings and scheduling, college publications, teaching assignments and contracts, faculty teaching loads, preparation and maintenance of curricular and instructional documents, data analysis of enrollment trends, adjunct hiring practices and textbook management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.

Three years of experience in an academic environment, program/project management or program/project coordination required.

Ability to work independently with attention to details and accuracy.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team setting.

Demonstrated ability and commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, conflict resolution and multi-tasking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite application (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) and willingness and ability to adapt and learn new software.

Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the Dean's office as necessary, including occasional evening and weekend hours.

Ability to make decisions and determinations on behalf of the Dean and department chairs in their absence.

Ability to deal professionally, tactfully and effectively with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public.

Ability to interact with a variety of faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds.



Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Colleague Datatel, Curriculog, and Acculog software strongly preferred.

Experience in a post-secondary setting, especially a comprehensive community college, strongly preferred.



Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: M-F, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
