Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor – Undergraduate Studies
The Department of Community Nursing invites applications for one full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate position beginning in September of 2017. This is a non-tenured, on-campus position. Primary responsibilities associated with the position include didactic, on-campus clinical skills and simulation laboratory instruction, and clinical agency instruction in Second Degree Accelerated BS hybrid degree and the RN-BS degree online offerings. Additional responsibilities include course coordination, student advisement, scholarship, and service. Summer teaching, with additional compensation, may be required.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program with expertise in undergraduate curriculum, recent online and higher education teaching experience, at least 3 years recent clinical experience, and RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure. The preferred candidate will have computer literacy with Blackboard or similar online delivery system and course(s) coordination experience, and student advising experience.
The College of Nursing has approximately 30 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in two Departments; Adult Nursing and Community Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program has approximately 450 students in the prelicensure track, 200 students in a fully online RN-BS track, and a growing second degree accelerated BS track. The College also offers graduate programs at the MS, DNP, and PhD level, with approximately 125 students enrolled across the graduate programs. The College has a growing portfolio of international collaborations and offers unique clinical experiences through these collaborations. Programs are fully accredited by CCNE.
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is located in the beautiful ocean side community of North Dartmouth, about an hour south of Boston, half-hour east of Providence, and half-hour west of Cape Cod.
