Position Description
CGI Federal, a leader in providing IT and business processing services throughout the US, has an opening in Cleveland, Ohio for a Software Developer, working with a dynamic and collaborative software development team. This person will be responsible for developing new solutions and supporting existing applications throughout the full SDLC. Your future duties and responsibilities
- Effectively gather requirements from internal/external clients
- Actively design front and backend components of new solutions, which will include testing and implementation on a variety of platforms to include Web, Cloud and Mobile
- Enhance existing applications on an as-needed basis
- Work collaboratively with team and clients in implementation phase, as well as provide
technical support thereafter
- Develop comprehensive documentation for future reference
- Research new methods to improve efficiencies and application performance
- Share IT knowledge with peers and subordinates in a collegial manner Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer, developing Web and/or mobile
applications
- Possess strong application development skills in an Agile environment, coupled with
knowledge of current technologies and trends
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative software development environment
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Possess excellent UI/UX design skills
- Must be self-motivated and takes ownership of assignments from inception to completion
- Proficient using .NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, AWS, MSSQL or MySQL, Node.js
- Solid experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Services/APIs
- Experience with widely used frameworks such as Knockout, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
- Strong experience with source control systems, preferably GIT
- Possess working knowledge of MVC, MVVM, and CI/CD
- Understanding of enterprise-level software architecture and security
- Bachelor Degree in computer science/information technology is strongly preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered*LI-SS1 At CGI, we're a team of builders.
