We invite candidates to apply for our eLearning Assistant Director position. The Assistant Director will be responsible for leading the centralized, college-wide instructional design processes, focusing on fostering quality learning that promotes academic excellence and student success. In addition, the Assistant Director will supervise a team of instructional and multimedia designers; support and advance all academic disciplines and educational support areas; and provide expertise and assistance in the field of instructional design. The Assistant Director will be responsible for the planning, operation, administration and control of the adopted quality assurance processes, to include ADA compliance; supervising faculty development related to eLearning products, and supporting all faculty, students, and staff by providing self-help guides, videos and on-demand training materials. In addition, the incumbent will also assist the eLearning Director with institutional strategic planning tasks related to eLearning. This position is primarily located at the South Lake Campus with occasional travel to Leesburg and Sumterville. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree required in Higher Ed Curriculum, Instructional Technology, Education, Educational Technology, or related degree or field. Required: Five to seven years’ management experience in an educational setting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred: Five to seven recent years’ experience teaching in a post-secondary institution. Demonstrated experience in teaching with online course delivery in past three years. Demonstrated technical training facilitation of online design. Previous experience in training people to use academic software and management experience in higher education.
