Senior Financial Aid Advisor
Placement Range: $17.50 - $19.25 per hour
General Description: The Senior Financial Aid Advisor supports the Director and Assistant Director with processing various state and federal grant programs and loan programs, interacts with students, staff, and various federal and state agencies. Provides leadership for quality customer service support.
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree (Applicants are required to attach transcript conferring required Bachelor's degree.) Two (2) years of work experience in a Financial Aid Office.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to implement policies and procedures to meet compliance requirements in Federal Student Aid Title IV and/or Veterans programs. Demonstrated ability to provide quality service to students. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with computer databases to access information and create reports. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Access and Word, with strong skills in spreadsheets and databases. Proficient in the use Microsoft Outlook for electronic email communications and calendar scheduling. Ability to work independently and reliably and ensure activities are completed to accomplish established objectives and outcomes. Ability to establish and meet deadlines. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
