Regional Safety Coordinator
Reporting to the General Managers of Cascades Tissue Group:
Advise local management in his region in their roles as health and safety leaders and in identifying plant needs.
Ensure that Cascades' corporate action plan is implemented and followed upon; assist in its evaluation.
Help plant management in developing their annual action plans.
Support supervisors in identifying and correcting accident and professional illness risks as well as implement safe work methods.
Develop and implement a training plan to increase the know-how of managers and employees regarding occupational health and safety. Provide training as required.
Evaluate the progress regarding occupational health and safety and make the required recommendations.

Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety or related field and approximately seven (7) years of experience in the field.
Knowledge of the US regulations regarding health and safety (OSHA, Worker's Compensation law, etc)
The Coordinator will support the mills of US and will be required to travel on a regular basis to these locations. Travel is required.
