RESEARCH PROGRAM DIRECTOR BREAST CANCER CLIN TRIAL
Duties: This position will assist the Professor of Medicine of the Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Program, in the Breast Program of the Abramson Cancer Center. The individual's primary function is to coordinate and manage the critical aspects of all breast cancer clinical research studies; including, but not limited to, developing and managing clinical research studies, laboratory correlative anlayses and database management, opening new trials, managing the trial portfolio, organizing weekly staff meetings and monthly conferences, directing study conduct, managing data, completing IRB (Institutional Review Board) and data use agreement submissions, grant writing and conducting medical record abstraction. Duties also include the development of new studies along with the leaders of the Breast Cancer Program, implementation of a structure in which these studies can be seamlessly activated and realized, interaction with the many stakeholders in diverse departments across clinical and translational researchers, facilitate communication amongst these researchers, and provide quarterly reports on their progress.
Qualifications: A Masters degree, preferably in nursing or related field, and 5-7 years of experience in clinical/health-related research or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions is required. Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
