Posting Summary:
The Motivate Lab within the Curry School of Education's Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) seeks applicants for one or more Postdoctoral Research Associate positions. Under the direction of senior research personnel (PI: Chris Hulleman), incumbents develop and test interventions based on social psychological theories of motivation, conduct quantitative research with existing RCT data and longitudinal surveys, and assist with the preparation of findings for publication.

A terminal degree in education, developmental psychology, social psychology, or related field is required. Degree must be conferred by start date of position. Experience planning, executing, and testing social psychological interventions that promote perceptions of value for learning and/or decrease identity threat at the K-12 or college level is required. Experience conducting randomized field experiments and mixed-methods research is preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as are strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong potential for or a track record of publication is required, as is a potential for the procurement of external funding.
