Senior Accounting Analyst
The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for all the accounting duties for Dining Services (The food Court, Down Under, Encore!Espresso, JavaJazz, VIBE Catering, Caf Tempo and Vending Departments), BlackBoard Transaction Dining Services Point-of-Sales (POS) system and the Dining Services Inventory Control System (Foodco).
- Accounting - Assist with daily balancing of cash drawers and prepare daily balance sheet. Provide month-end reports and balance monthly reports. develop, implement and maintain internal controls.
- Point-of-Sale System - Maintain daily menus for all D.S. Locations. Develop and maintain all system product and Store Value accounts, training for POS cashiers and users. Perform upgrades and updates.
- Inventory Control System (Foodco7) - Process all monthly inventories for all D.S, locations. Also receive all vendor invoices for all D.S locations, maintain current costs for all products.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills, read and interpret date, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine administrative problems; use math and analytical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information and skills; perform highly detained work on multiple, concurrent tasks; and interact with staff, students and other customers, the public and others encountered in the course of work. At times lift and move up to 30 pond equipment.
Associate of Arts degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.
Demonstrated ability to complete detailed work with accuracy required.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse college community and outside agencies required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use an integrated administrative computer system and Microsoft Office products required.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and make independent decisions required.
Demonstrated ability to handle cash required.
Three years of related work experience required.
Experience with Banner, BlackBoard Transact system, and Inventory Control systems preferred.
