The Division of Enrollment Management, Enrollment Management Systems and Analytics (EMSA) has an exciting opportunity for an Enrollment Analyst reporting to the Manager, Enrollment Analytics. The Enrollment Analyst will initiate, develop, and generate reports and conduct analyses pertaining to enrollment planning, forecasting, and modeling; admissions (recruitment funnel); financial aid (including financial leveraging); student employment; retention; student records; student accounts; and academic planning (course demand and forecasting) in support of Enrollment Management, Registrar, Student Accounts and stakeholders within Academic Affairs. The Analyst will develop and use metrics that assist in enhancing analytic and data driven decision making tied to institutional enrollment. The Analyst will play a critical role in in linking the analytic reporting aspects of an integrated system with the programmatic needs in Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs. The Analyst must communicate and work effectively with institutional stakeholders in Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:•Initiate, develop, and generate reports and analyses pertaining to institutional enrollment. •Provide analytical support for Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.•Develop advanced and extended report creation within the data warehouse and Campus Solutions for Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.•Develop reports and fulfill data requests pertaining to Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs, departmental data needs, more specifically in the areas of admissions, financial aid, student employment, retention, student records and student accounts.•Collaborate with other Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs staff members to develop reporting strategies to optimize process efficiency.•Develop metrics to identify trends in new and continuing student enrollment, student service delivery, transaction volumes and other measurements to continuously enhance student service.•Identifying opportunities to apply reporting analytics in innovative ways to enhance data driven decision making.•Assist in the development of enrollment reporting tools to determine causes of student attrition.•Assist in developing financial aid reporting tools to enhance student quality, diversity, and tuition revenue.•Assist in developing an executive dashboard that fulfills the reporting needs of Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.•Collaborate with Institutional Research and UMIT Decision Support Services relative to external enrollment reporting requirements.•Participate in various departmental, divisional, or University committee or groups tied to enrollment.Additional Responsibilities:•Liaison between functional units, enrollment systems and Information Technology to educate on data structures within the data warehouse and Campus Solutions.•Manage relationships with end users in Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs to understand enrollment reporting needs to enhance data driven decision making. •Contribute to the definition of the Enrollment Management business intelligence strategy.•Understand the factors that measure effectiveness and importance of efficiency in functional unit operations that can be met with enhanced analytics. •Identify potential operating efficiencies that can be met with enhanced analytics.•Identify potential trouble spots where enhanced analytics can serve as a solution.•Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:•Understanding of diverse set of reporting tools, including Power BI.•Ability to undertake projects and tasks with an analytical methodology and approach solutions from numerous vantage points.•A keen interest in quantitative and numerical data and analytics.•Ability to manipulate data to support the functions within Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.•Skills to comprehend and translate user needs, creating solutions through data analysis and reporting.•Requisite communication skills to explain data and analytical topics in an easy-to-understand manner.•Ability to communicate and collaborate with institutional stakeholders in Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs.•Ability and willingness to listen, learn, and turn into actionable outcomes.•Skills to adjust communication to varying levels of technical sophistication.•Ability to understand complex reporting issues and items tied to data structures.•Analytical problem solving skills.•Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.•Ability to capture information and data from multiple sources leading to actionable outcomes.•Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.•Self-starter with a great degree of internal motivation.•Ability to use data to solve problems.•Ability to evaluate and suggest new and innovative tools to advance reporting capability.•Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills and experience.•Understanding of diverse set of reporting tools.•Demonstrated experience in higher education related information systems.•Demonstrated ability to manage time, work in a collaborative environment, and under specific deadlines.•Superior written and verbal communication skills.Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):•Three (3) years of experience in higher education administration in a capacity involving data analysis and management.
