The university seeks a visionary leader with skills to manage and guide an internationally recognized and respected center with basic, translational, and clinical research programs.

The Stem Cell Research Center is an interdisciplinary program with faculty from five schools and twenty different departments. Opened in 2010, Sue and Bill Gross Hall: A CIRM Institute, is home of the Center where 23 of 43 center members are located. Gross Hall has more than 88,000 square feet of lab and office space devoted to stem cell research, as well as clinical space devoted to rehabilitation studies, a modern vivarium, and an attractive conference center. The successful applicant will have an established, successful track record in his/her own stem cell research program, and an equally distinguished track record in leadership and philanthropy. As an interdisciplinary program, the Director will also interact with campus leaders in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and other disciplines.
