RESEARCH ADMIN COORD
Duties: This position will provide administrative and research support to the Chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy in the Perelman School of Medicine, most particularly related to his research in health care operations with colleagues at Wharton. Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to synthesize a variety of materials to write engaging cases and management stories as well as be facile with basic descriptive statistics with minimal supervision. In addition, this position will play a critical role in the execution of the Department's online education and media ventures, roles for which skills in ppt animation, website updates using WordPress, literature research and analysis of health care operations data are important. This position will also require extensive writing, proofreading and editing skills. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and must be able to multi-task in order to meet tight deadlines. A background in communications, online education, and/or operations management is preferred.
Qualifications: The minimum of a High School diploma and 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience strongly preferred. The applicant should also be able to synthesize academic research material, respond to copyright queries from publishers, and analyze health policy data. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and must be able to multi-task in order to meet tight deadlines. A background in communications, online education, and/or health policy is preferred. Good analytic skills; excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills; excellent Excel skills and basic understanding of statistics; Adept in PowerPoint, especially with animations. Knowledge of WordPress a plus.
