Ithaca College's Department of Art invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Sculpture 3/3 teaching position to begin August 16, 2017. Position will include teaching 3-D Design, Introduction to Sculpture, and other courses as appropriate for the candidate's expertise and the department's needs. In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate will have continued professional activity and maintain studio facilities.
MFA in Sculpture or related field by appointment start date required. Three years of full-time college-level teaching experience and a proven record of teaching excellence preferred. Teaching expertise in wood shop, plaster and casting required. Experience in kiln, wood and metal shop maintenance/safety preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to teach in ways that acknowledge and value the varied learning styles and interests of a culturally diverse student population, reflecting a commitment to encouraging the success of all students.
