About The Unit: POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Director of the Center for Human Potential and Public Policy, the Research Coordinator, Project Design & Data Management at the Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab (BIP Lab) serves as the key lead for data collection, data management and assuring adherence to study timelines. This position makes significant contributions to study design, implementation, and data management for the progress of research. Primary responsibilities include survey development, data cleaning, internal quality assurance, coordinating data collection efforts, BIP Lab technology management, and preparing and maintaining research protocol with University of Chicago Internal Review Board protocol. This position is grant-funded for one year with the potential for future renewal.

Unit Job Summary: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for planning and executing implementation of research projects and requirements in partnership with other research staff team members - Develop and execute research study timelines, maintaining and evaluating progress of research activity calendar - Recommend enhancements to methodology and protocol of the study - Coordinate the data collection efforts of assessor team - Responsible for internal quality assurance, ensuring that all internal data entry, cleaning and analysis activities are executed with fidelity - Responsible for obtaining approval of the Internal Review Board (IRB) and managing operations according to the IRB's rules and regulations - Manage IRB protocol submission and amendment process - Determine participant eligibility based on IRB guidelines and regulations - Responsible for ensuring amendments are up-to-date and continuing reviews are completed in a timely manner - Manage data files according to IRB confidentiality guidelines in the service of protecting the security of participant data - Responsible for the BIP Lab's technology, equipment and other materials - Manage the mobile device management software that monitors the lab's electronic tablets - Manage the inventory of electronic tablets, internet hotspots, and other lab tech - Provide support with pre-award and research planning and development activity - Support development of anticipated and other ongoing research endeavors - Work directly with other research staff team members on budget development and resource identification - Lead pilot and initial exploratory work for anticipated projects - Develop surveys, conduct literature reviews, support grant application processes, and manage process to ensure that projects are properly informed by principal investigators and other experts - Tracking and expenditure of program resources - Purchase research supplies and services in accordance with grant terms and conditions - Responsible for managing revolving cash fund for payments to research participants - Provide support with internal and external BIP Lab communications efforts - Prepare/coordinate post-award grant reporting - Provide support in drafting and distributing BIP Lab marketing and communication materials

Unit Education: EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study required (psychology, public policy, sociology, education, or related social science discipline) Master's degree strongly preferred
