This position is based in San Jose, CA, USA


The Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the director of marketing in the corporate marketing efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collateral development and maintenance
    • Works with the sales team to determine collateral requirements (cheat sheets, value propositions, solution briefs)
    • Develops sales support collateral (writing, editing, formatting and updates them accordingly)
  • Supports lead generation efforts
    • Support sales team in activities to promote sales including coordinating meetings, sponsorship opportunities, giveaways, etc.
    • Updating CRM tools with new lead information and assignments
    • Following up with sales team on assigned leads
  • Maintaining databases
    • Downloading and distributing market research reports to the team
    • Create and disseminate weekly reports: lead funnel, industry news, marketing activities, etc.
    • Industry influencer contact database
  • Plan and execute marketing events and trade shows:
    • Identifying, scheduling, and managing all deadlines for tradeshow requirements
    • Coordinate booth logistics
      • Lead design efforts for turnkey booths
      • Establish shipping logistics if shipping existing booth
      • Place orders for any in-booth requirements: badge scanners, electrical, carpet, furniture, etc.
    • Developing schedules and assignments for attending support team
    • Book hotel rooms and register attending staff
    • Managing back-end support for webinars
  • Assist marketing director in interacting with various marketing services, negotiating with them and coordinating contract process
  • Press coordination:
    • maintain a current press and media distribution list
    • keep press and media updated with our latest activities
    • pitch stories
    • Work with SME to meet press deadlines for stories
  • Assist in coordination of product launches: press release draft and/or review, website posting, datasheet updates, posting information to various outlets (website, intranet,, etc)
  • Researching and ordering marketing giveaways
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Educational and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, or like concentration
  • 4 - 6 years industry experience

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to take project ownership and manage processes and activities
  • Meet deadlines efficiently with a high quality of workmanship
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and ability to maintain a healthy atmosphere in the team
  • Ability to think critically and make necessary decisions
  • Copy writing with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Experience with Adobe suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience with CRMs and marketing automation tools desired, but not required
