The Department of Emergency Medicine has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Innovation Project Consultant (Business Services Senior Professional) position.

Job Summary:
Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families. Functions include institutional research, statistical analysis, policy development and review, strategic planning and broad unit business operations such as parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare services, real estate and property management, retail services or job responsibilities that combine fiscal, HR and operational management responsibilities.

Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed fully independently.

Position Emphasis:
This position will work closely with the CARE Innovation Center (CIC) executive leadership team to develop project plans for new innovation. This includes defining the problem/opportunity and the scope, objectives, deliverables, risks, strategies, timeline, budget, resources required, project team requirements, tasks and responsibilities. This position will manage day-to-day client relationships between CIC and stakeholders within the Anschutz Medical Campus and the reporting, meetings and coordination of the idea intake process and individual product status reports. In addition, this position will strategically align to organizational initiatives, while maintaining the ability to manage the expectations of multiple key stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position has been established at $42,667 - $64,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level project management experience.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis, but not the specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and Keynote.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Experience working with hospital and clinical processes, EPIC work flows and healthcare privacy regulations.

  • A strong understanding of hospital and clinical processes, EPIC work flows and healthcare privacy regulations.
