Summary of Duties
Teaches specific summer camp courses in specialized fields. Acts as mentor to UVU student summer camp employees who are interested in pursuing similar fields of teaching.

Minimum Qualifications
For Music: Professional level skills and previous experience accompanying for Ballet, Modern, or World Dance classes. Candidates must audition for the position and demonstrate the ability to provide musical accompaniment that supports and enhances the rhythmic and qualitative characteristics of class content.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in acting, directing, or playwriting.

Knowledge of acting, music, and movement.

Knowledge of musical theatre.

Knowledge of Latin American traditions, history, storytelling, and performance.

Knowledge of working with children and youth.

Skills in speaking English/Spanish bilingually.

Ability to easily adapt to changes in the direction of a course.

Ability to remain patient, calm, and positive around children and youth.

Ability and willingness to collaborate with other teachers and directors.

Working Conditions

9am - 12pm or 1pm - 4pm
