FRIB is recruiting for SRF Physicist s to join the FRIB Project Team. The successful candidates will produce innovative design solutions to accomplish the conceptual equipment requirements for the Cryomodule Department. Design, assemble and testing of FRIB cryomodules; Optimize manufacture process for FRIB production cryomodule; Participate testing and certify of 4 different type FRIB cavities; Participate in several projects simultaneously and is accountable to maintain schedules to meet project requirements; Write in-depth engineering notes and reviews calculations of fellow engineers; Lead SRF R&D projects under the supervision of SRF development manager; Mentor other engineers in analysis methods
Masters -PhysicsDesired Degree
Doctorate -PhysicsMinimum Requirements
A Master’s degree in Physics; Record of accomplishment in field of expertise
Five years of related industry experience; Experience in vacuum and radiation compatible materials; Experience with CAD/CAE and SolidWorks/ANSYS is preferred; Experience with superconductinglinac design or high power particle beam magnets and target equipment isdesired or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
