Responsibilities:

Working directly with the Executive Director of Corporate Relations and Senior Advancement Officers, this position sustains the mission of the Office of Corporate & Foundation Advancement to foster stronger and more productive partnerships between Northeastern and the corporate world. The Development Associate provides critical skills in office support, database management, research, large event, small event and one-on-one meeting coordination, and communication and correspondence with corporations and on-campus offices and departments. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic. The individual must be self-motivated, able to manage workload independently, able to prioritize and manage several projects at the same time, supervise, and be detail-oriented. Challenges include juggling multiple responsibilities in a busy environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and one to three (1-3) years of demonstrated success in a comparable position, preferably in development, or equivalent years of professional experience required. Candidate must be a mature pro-fessional who can manage and facilitate a fluctuating and, at times intense workload, and produce quality results in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to manage multiple priority projects at once with ease and efficiency. Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated, can think independently and analytically, is organiz-ed, and detail oriented. Must be proactive, anticipate problems, and be resourceful to find workable solutions, and should work well with others at all levels. The ideal candidate has direct experience in building and managing corporate relationships, possesses strong written and verbal skills, and has solid communication and writing skills. Experience managing databases essential.
