The Assistant Dean and Director of the Academic Success Program will design, administer, and oversee all aspects of the Law School's Academic Success Program and will serve a diverse range of law students, including, as appropriate, teaching classes (for-credit and/or non-credit), counseling and tutoring students on an individual and group basis, developing/implementing/monitoring support programs and services, and working collaboratively with the Assistant Dean and Director of Bar Preparation Programs to deliver an integrated and comprehensive program for student success.


•J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
•Admission to a state bar in the United States, preferably Massachusetts.
•At least 2 years of experience practicing law or delivering writing or other instruction in an academic institution or law firm.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Experience in working successfully with diverse populations.
•Familiarity with online technology preferred but not required.
•Experience with academic support or bar preparation preferred.
•Experience with curriculum design, including an understanding of educational learning theory, best practices in teaching pedagogy, and individual learning styles preferred.
•Experience with assessment and data collection preferred.
•A degree in education or counseling and experience in working with a wide variety of students, including those with learning disabilities and mental health issues, is an advantage, but not required. In addition, a deep interest in current research about how adults learn would be preferred.
