Duties and Responsibilities - Teach physical therapy courses;- Maintain scheduled office, classroom and laboratory hours as required; - Participate in program administration;- Assist with program accreditation activities; - Advise students;- Participate in Health Careers and Pierpont programs, committees and meetings;- Participate in program review and assessment;- Maintain mutually respectful relationships with peers, staff and students;- Participate in recruitment and retention of students; - Coordinate all components of clinical education; and - Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the School of Health Careers.

Minimum Required Education BS or BA

Required Licenses and/or Certifications West Virginia PT or PTA license in good standing, or WV eligible for such licensure.

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Three years of full time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy; two years of experience as a clinical instructor

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree - RequiredMaster's degree - PreferredExperience with instructional design and student evaluation and outcomes assessment;Knowledge of instructional technology and active learning.

Special Conditions Candidates invited for interview must prepare and present a 15 minute learning activity to address the topic: "Current Treatment of Chronic Pain in Physical Therapy". In addition to the presentation, please prepare and bring with you three test questions on the topic appropriate for a Physical Therapy Assistant student.Faculty rank to be determined by credentials.A tenth month is paid as a stipend equivalent to one month's salary.
