Duties: The Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs serves as the Chief Student Affairs Officer, overseeing a comprehensive student affairs program that embraces the complexity of the Graduate School of Education, and the diversity of its programs and its students. This position works closely with faculty and staff to leverage school- and university-wide resources in addressing a wide array of academic and behavioral issues. In collaboration with a student affairs coordinator, a graduate assistant and a diversity and inclusion fellow, the Assistant Dean will plan and implement programming that enhances student development and the student experience. The Assistant Dean also manages Orientation, Commencement and other milestone events during the academic year.
This is a term position with an end date of 6/29/2018.
Qualifications: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree and 7 to 10 years of experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
