The UVa Arts & Sciences Department of Psychology invites applicants for a faculty position in Quantitative Psychology at the rank of Assistant (tenure-track) Professor. We seek candidates who are dedicated to our research mission and passionate about teaching in a world-class institution.
The UVa Quantitative Psychology area provides PhD and Postdoctoral training while maintaining a research focus on statistical, computational and mathematical modeling of complex behavioral and physiological data. The collaborative environment is rich, including University-wide links with the schools of Engineering, Medicine and Education as well as national and international collaborations, e.g., the OpenMx project and the Max Planck International School for the Life Course. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who are developing novel methods and models, implementing open source software, and collaborating broadly in one or more of the substantive areas represented in the UVa Psychology Department: Developmental, Cognitive, Clinical, Community, and Systems & Sensory Neuroscience.

Applicants must have received a PhD in psychology or a computational/statistical/mathematical field by the appointment start date.
In addition to developing external funding to support research endeavors, candidates will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels and provide service to the University, Department, and professional organizations.
