About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Utilize knowledge of graphic art techniques and tools including computer software such as Avizo, VG-StudioMax Mimics, 3DS Max for processing CT and serial sectioning datasets for research. Create graphic artwork and animations to convey scientific content for research publications and education materials. Design posters for professional meetings, proposals and events. Design panels, floorplans, and other exhibit materials for scientific exhibits. Manage website content and updates as well as domain library. Assist PI with literature search and editing manuscripts and other documents. Archive and manage PI's digital library and field and laboratory images. Design and manage database projects. Responsible for data management and file backups. Assist with pre- and post- expedition planning and logistics. Primary operator of 3D Printer and liaison with CT scanning. Manage day-to-day operations of the lab. Responsible for processing all travel reimbursements and the daily administrative office support. Other duties as required.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted required. Advanced degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted preferred.

Unit Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant research experience required.
