University of North Texas - Administrative Specialist III
The History Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist III to join our team. This position is the front desk receptionist in the main History office and provides administrative support to the Department, including Faculty, Undergraduate Advisors, and Teaching Fellows/Assistants. In addition, the position assists the departmental Event Coordinator by providing support for special events hosted by the department. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Managing the process for all Department Travel, including the preparation of travel vouchers. * Department purchasing for supplies, instructional materials and misc. needs. Includes tracking inventory levels, department purchasing, and preparing reports. * Overseeing Front Office - acting as front desk receptionist, greeting visitors, answering department phones, managing department calendar & conference rooms, and overseeing mailing needs. * Provide Undergrad Program Assistance - Assisting undergrads with registration, process undergrad enrollment requests, answer program questions, assist with scheduling advising, provide admin assistance to undergrad advisors, and assist with orientations. * Provide Department Admin Support including book orders, department website maintenance, instructional related support, assisting with inventory. * Assist with Special Events for the Department. * Prepare department communications related to events, alumni relations, department outreach, marketing, and recruiting. Also post communications to social media and department website. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed.
