Full/Part Time Full-Time
Serves as a critical contributor to the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) team, including the development and execution of all tactical marketing and communications initiatives, as well as overall CU-ICAR brand management. Develops internal and external communication and marketing strategies with the media and public. Serves as a critical asset to the Deep Orange Vehicle Project team. Performs other duties as assigned.
Marketing Management: Collaborates with the Communications department and other Colleges within Clemson University to develop and implement effective recruiting and hiring strategies for Clemson graduates. Works closely with the real estate broker organization (if any) and other economic development organizations on tools to attract industry to the CU-ICAR Innovation Campus. Develops and recommends automotive industry-specific events, conferences, trade and auto shows. Develops exhibits concepts and implements plan for use at relevant shows. Provides marketing leadership support for the Deep Orange Vehicle projects. Manages the overall CU-ICAR brand. 45% - Essential
Digital Communications: Maintains and continually improves CU-ICAR websites, all social media platforms, Salesforce CRM and tracking of KPI's using Trendkite SaaS. Manages an advisory committee that includes representatives from the Department of Automotive Engineering and other Clemson University Communications and Marketing participants to develop key and consistent messaging, as well as employ the latest tools/techniques for maximizing the benefits of social media engagement. 20% - Essential
Marketing Collateral Material and Advertising: Responsible for the creation of brochures and display assets for the CU-ICAR Innovation Campus. Manages marketing and advertising functions, including communication with key clients and consultants. Develops and recommends key local, regional, national and international automotive industry media targets and coordinates with the Public Affairs and Communications Department. Writes, edits and publishes educational materials for distribution. 15% - Essential
Database Management: Maintains critical databases in support of marketing, including key customer and partner contact information. Develops and manages prospect database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 10% - Essential
Special Project Support: Provides marketing support for new projects as they arise, including, but not limited to, projects that support CU-ICAR's Forward Plan, and K-12 STEM education initiatives. 10% - Essential
A bachelor's degree and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
