Our client is a large investment bank - one of the five largest investment banks on the planet.

We work with them to build and enhance high volume pricing engines, complex risk analytical platforms, regulatory monitoring systems, anti-fraud and money laundering detection platforms to name but a few. We are seeking candidates with a solid understanding of computer science and how that relates to the application of C# as a coding solution.

In addition to technical excellence we are looking for candidates with strong and confident communication skills. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Education/Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
• At least 5 years of professional development experience

In addition to this:-
• In depth knowledge of C# fundamentals(GC, Templates, LINQ)
• Strong background of WPF development
• High level of understanding of core computer science concepts: Computational Mathematics; Computational Science; Software Engineering; Computational Data Structures (Hash Table etc)
• Parallel programming in C#
• Principles of UI Development
• Experience in working with messaging layers(Web service, TIBCO, JMS etc)
• Good problem solver
• Ability to multitask

Nice to have(s)
• Knowledge of PRISM, MVVM design patterns
• Experience with UI vendor libraries such as Telerik & Ingragistics
• Working knowledge of fixed income products
Soft Skills:
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Critical eye for detail
• Positive attitude
• Able to multitask effectively
• Have excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills
• Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Enjoy working in a self-teaching, learning organization
