The Department of Surgery at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Division of Colorectal Surgery. Academic rank (Assistant or Associate Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Opportunities will be available to collaborate with colleagues of the George Washington Cancer Center that brings together the resources of the University, the GWU Medical Faculty Associates, and the GW University Hospital to expand our research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery at the time of appointment and have a strong background and demonstrated interest in basic science or clinical research. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and in clinical care as evidenced by experience, training, and references. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
