Position Summary: The Department of Radiation Oncology in the School of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill invites applications for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant position who will be appointed as a fixed-term faculty Clinical Assistant Professor. We are seeking candidates to work with radiation oncologists primarily in the care of genitourinary cancer (prostate, bladder, renal and testicular) patients. The primary clinical duties include assistance with and seeing inpatient and outpatient consults, follow-ups, and acutely ill patients; and assisting with coordination of care for these patients. Genitourinary cancer survivors who are doing well after treatment will be transitioned from the care of radiation oncologists to the nurse practitioner or physician assistant for long-term follow-up.

Education Requirements: Applicants must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, MSN or MHS, and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the North Carolina Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and "approved to practice medical acts" by the Joint Subcommittee or Graduation and/or completion of an educational program for Physician Assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and an active Physician Assistant License issued by the North Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.
