The School of Medicine Briargate Center located in Colorado Springs, CO has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Senior Financial Analyst (Finance and Accounting Senior Professional) position.

Jobs in this career family provide the accounting and financial activities for the University. Functions include general accounting, budget, financial analysis and audit, tax and reporting, accounts payable and receivables, government cost reimbursement, contract administration, cashiering, cash management/ banking, investments, treasury and travel audit.
Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed fully independently.
This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO and will be responsible for understanding the complexities, systems and the flow of funds between the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Children's Hospital Colorado, and CU Medicine while supporting the CU Briargate Center's Director of Finance and Administration in a variety of financial and business related tasks in order to provide accurate and timely requests for financial data, analysis, projections and various projects. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing financial analysis tools and reports to be used in the monthly preparation and review of financial information and in the financial and clinical analysis of specialty clinical activities.
- Performing variance analysis and trending on monthly results and key performance indicators.
- Partnering in revenue cycle management, reporting, budgeting and analysis.
- Partner in education of faculty and staff in regard to all financial matters for their clinics.
- Identifying areas for streamlining, process improvement opportunities and best practices.
- Collaborating with CU School of Medicine, Children's Hospital Colorado, and CU Medicine on administrative and financial affairs for the CU Briargate Center.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience performing financial reporting and analysis.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
- 2+ years progressive experience in finance, accounting, data analysis or other quantitative field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinical practice preferred.
