The Sponsored Student and Scholar Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of sponsored programming for the University of Kentucky (UK). This position requires communication between the institution and the sponsoring agencies to address agency concerns, provide excellent customer service and assist in ongoing promotional efforts of sponsored groups. Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively among a culturally diverse population which includes both students and scholars. Strong presentation and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will have the strong desire and ability to assist international students and scholars with a wide range of needs and challenges including immigration, cultural and language support services. Minimum qualifications are Master's Degree and three years of experience with eligibility to obtain SEVIS certification.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for long periods of time; lifting; pushing or pulling objects up to 30 lbs (i.e. office equipment such as computer tower).



Shift

Days; Monday-Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Some weekends and evenings may be required and schedule as necessary and appropriate.

Microsoft Office, Tableau, and Sunapsis.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master's degree and direct experience in advising or programming for sponsored students and/or their sponsoring agencies. Experiences with sponsored international groups in higher education are preferred.
