The Florida Center for Reading Research
Employees will be responsible for administering individual assessments to preschool children during the designated time points (approximately October, December, and March). Employees will be responsible for conducting classroom observations during the designated time points (approximately October, December, and March). Receiving and successful training completion is required and mandatory before proceeding with assessment and observation tasks. Research related duties may include in-field data management and entry level data entry. Responsibilities will include coordination and collaboration with other project staff, and coordination with classroom teachers.
A high school diploma. A valid driver's license that is not under suspension and regular access to an insured, reliable vehicle in order to travel to and from centers.
Teaching experience in early childhood and/or elementary educational setting is preferred. Employees should have strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; Strong decision making abilities and ability to meet deadlines; Have access to an email account for communication purposes; Experience in administering assessments to children; Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Special Education or other related field is preferred.

Anticipated Salary Range
Salary range $10-$16 per hour dependent upon education and experience.
This is an OPS/temporary Job.
Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
Employees should be available Monday through Friday. Working hours will primarily coincide with school hours which are 7:45am to 3:30pm. Hours per week will vary with the project needs.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
