Responsibilities

As an ERP Analyst II, this position is responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of PeopleSoft EPM and the associated technologies that collectively provide the foundation for robust, efficient, and effective Business Intelligence (BI) operational and analytical reporting.
Supports the University's Business Intelligence (BI), analytic, budgeting and information needs across multiple ERP modules and other sources of data. Administers and maintains budgeting system in support of the budget office. Designs, develops, analyses, and supports data layer reporting objects in alignment with functional and technical system requirements. Develops programming code and software using appropriate language and tools to provide problem resolutions and new functionality in enterprise-wide and/or complex specialized systems.
Responsible for reviewing and capturing business requirements needed for new design, development, and maintenance of operational reports, data models, and programs or modifications and performing the technical development based on these requirements. This position will work with other senior team members and partner with functional users to accomplish this task.
Responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting system issues as well as tuning the systems and resulting queries for improved performance; applying system and vendor supplied application patches.
Responsible for assisting in developing, planning, and organizing procedures and testing scenarios to ensure the integrity of the budgeting and analytic systems. Provides suggestions for improvements/enhancements to the existing system.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and one year experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.
Experience conveying technical information to technical and non- technical users.
Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Experience utilizing and developing programming language and tools within the technology field including Excel, SQL, and MOLAP technology.
Experience meeting and planning with Budget and Planning professionals, including supporting technological aspects of budget processes.
Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology including data profiling and basic statistical methods.
Knowledge of reporting techniques and exposure to enterprise reporting tools.
Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
