Health Care Assistant
Front office and clinical health care assistant to greet patients, answer phones, and create patient cases; register patients, schedule appointments, work referral buckets; coordinates diagnostic tests; obtains authorization; prepares examination rooms; records patient history; takes chief complaint; obtains vital signs; performs and assists with procedures.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office setting with medical terminology; knowledge and experience performing routine health assessment tests and obtaining vital signs; experience with electronic medical record systems and patient scheduling systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a certified medical assistant with current certification, which must be maintained for the duration of employment.Desired Qualifications
Experience in front desk setting; experience in clinical setting; ability to multi-task and cross cover positions; team player; strong background with health insurance and authorization requirements; orthopedic background.Required Application Materials
